Acquarius welcomes Capital Trustees in a new chapter of growth.
Shared commitment to personal service and long-term relationships underpins the acquisition
Acquarius Gibraltar has acquired Gibraltar-based Capital Trustees Limited, bringing together two firms that share a belief in the value of personal service and direct involvement from experienced senior professionals.
The acquisition marks a positive next chapter for both businesses, building on their relationships with clients and advisers and their established presence in Gibraltar’s trust and corporate services sector.
Capital Trustees provides trustee and fiduciary administration services to private clients and corporations. Its emphasis on understanding individual client needs and maintaining director-led relationships closely reflects Acquarius’ own approach.
Established in 1998, Acquarius provides private client and corporate services, including trust and company administration, accounting and related support. The acquisition supports its strategy to grow around the qualities that have shaped the business: close client relationships and carefully tailored solutions.
Oliver Andlaw, CEO of Acquarius, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Capital Trustees to Acquarius. From our conversations, it was clear we share the same priorities and a similar understanding of what clients value in a professional relationship.
“Capital Trustees has built its business around personal attention and long-term relationships, and we have great respect for that approach. Bringing the firms together is an exciting step, and we look forward to building on those foundations together.”
David Frier, Founder and Managing Director at Capital Trustees Limited, said:
“Choosing the right home for the next chapter of Capital Trustees was a very important decision for me. Over the years, we have built many longstanding relationships with clients and their professional advisers, and ensuring continuity of those relationships has been my main priority. What particularly attracted me to Acquarius was its shared commitment to personal service and the importance it places on long-term client relationships.
I am delighted that I will continue to be personally involved with our clients, working alongside the experienced Acquarius team. This means clients can continue to benefit from the personal attention and understanding of their affairs that they have come to expect, while also enjoying the additional expertise and resources that Acquarius brings. I am very much looking forward to this next chapter and to continuing to work with our clients for many years to come.”
Both firms see the acquisition as an opportunity to build on a shared service philosophy, with client relationships central to the next phase.
