Acquarius COO Gareth Cross has confirmed that the firm will participate in events at this year's #GIBLDN25 in London later this month. The events are hosted annually by the Government of Gibraltar in association with Gibraltar Finance and once again this year, attention will be focused on the City of London where a series of high-profile events will be taking place.

The key event is undoubtedly the Financial Services lunch on Monday 20 October. For the second year running, this will be held in the elegant surroundings of the Egyptian Hall at Mansion House, the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London. UK-based professionals will join their Gibraltar hosts at this magnificent event and will be addressed by the Chief Minister, the Hon Fabian Picardo KC, MP and the Minister for Financial Services, the Hon Nigel Feetham KC, MP.

On Tuesday, the #GIBLDN25 Business Conference will take place at the OXO Wharf Tower on London’s South Bank. The event will bring together industry leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals for an unparalleled chance to network and gain insights into the business opportunities that Gibraltar has to offer.

On Wednesday, the Private Client buffet lunch and seminar (which is at full capacity) will take place, as last year, at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club in Pall Mall. Acquarius CEO Oliver Andlaw will be a panelist for what promises to be a fascinating and highly educational seminar on the private client sector. Oliver points out that this year, there is more certainty than at previous events thus ensuring a wider discussion. In June 2025, the outline terms of the long-awaited UK treaty with the EU over the future of Gibraltar was announced. Moreover, Gibraltar has been removed from the FATF grey list, restoring the jurisdiction’s place among the topflight of international finance centres, from which, as Oliver maintains, it should never have been moved in the first place.

There is much to look forward to during #GIBLDN25. Acquarius’ directors will be joined at the events by UK-based consultant Ian Le Breton. A full programme is thus planned but there is free time available so if you would like to meet with Acquarius during the week and you have not already booked a time, please get in touch as soon as possible.

See you in London.
